This is to share my experience at the Dr. Archana Nimbalkar Eye Hospital. Nobody referred this hospital to me;I simply looked for the nearby ophthalmologist. I had been to the hospital to have my eyes routinely checked when it transpired that I had developed a cataract. I had almost developed cold feet when I saw the young Dr. Nimbalkar. Let me be honest, I have certain reservations about all degrees awarded after 1978-79! That was the time when private medical and engineering colleges came into being. I underwent the surgery on my left eye, almost hesitatingly, in Sept., 2020. Now, after more than three months I have no hesitation in not only planning the surgery on right eye, soon, but I recommend this ophthalmologist and this hospital to anybody requiring any eye care. My left eye has been implanted with a multifocal lens. The eye is absolutely normal, now! Even immediately after the surgery, I experienced no discomfort at all. The hospital is maintained spic and span, and the staff is very particular about precautions mandated by the pandemic. Dr. Archana is richly experienced and inspires confidence in her patients. She is empathetic and civil in her approach towards her patients, and the kind of arrogance usually associated with the degree of skill and confidence she commands is wholly absent. What a relief, for I can't stand arrogance!! A very pleasing and happy experience with a surgeon, to sum up!!

Very happy to report that Dr Archana Nimbalkar has conducted Microincisional cataract surgery (better technique with faster recovery) for my dad, and we were extremely happy with the results, and my dad’s recovery time was way less compared to a normal surgery. After she had performed the surgery on his first eye in 2017, we were extremely satisfied with the results and hence got the second eye operated on by her again (even though we are now residing 25 km away from her hospital).
